Why Brooklyn Families Trust Your Photo Assistant

I have a HUGE photo library (over 5TB) that was a complete mess. It was scattered over several separate libraries, on a drive that had failed, and it had many duplicates - it was a huge challenge. ”

I had wanted to tackle the clean up of my photo library for years. I spoke with several companies about this complex project of library consolidation, and it was very clear that no other company, or person, came close to having the deep knowledge and expertise of Photo Management that Henk has.

Answers to common questions about photo organizing

One of our service options, “Organize Yourself,” teaches you how to sort and manage your photos. You will discover what software and equipment you need — from digital organizing tools to scanners for physical prints.
If doing it all yourself feels overwhelming, we also offer full-service options where we handle everything for you.

Several factors determine the price, including:

  • the total number of photos

  • whether your photos are digital or physical (prints, slides, or negatives)

  • how organized they are now

  • and your project goals

We’ll confirm the cost before work begins, and you’ll only pay for services we both agree on in advance.

Hiring a professional photo organizer saves you time and ensures your photos are organized and preserved the right way.
We use our expertise, specialized software, and professional equipment to sort, digitize, and protect your memories for the future.

We can digitize your printed photos, negatives, and slides so you can easily access, preserve, and share them.
We also curate your photo collection, helping you select the most meaningful images that tell your story and reflect your purpose, artistic vision, and legacy.

When you work with us, you gain peace of mind knowing your photo collection will stay organized, beautifully preserved, and ready to share for generations.

Your photos’ safety is our top priority throughout every step of the process.
We handle your prints, slides, and negatives carefully with gloves and back up your digital files daily to ensure they remain safe and protected.

Even if you live across the country, we can work together seamlessly.
Modern technology lets me organize your photo library remotely, just as if I were sitting beside you. During video calls, we can share screens, review photos, and make decisions together in real time.

If video calls aren’t practical, you can send your photos or a hard drive by mail, and I’ll handle the rest with the same level of care and communication.

A backup is a copy of your photos and videos that ensures the safety of your prized memories. It can be useful in the case of unprecedented situations, for example:

  • in the case of a damaged or stolen phone,
  • restoring accidentally deleted images,
  • and safeguarding your memories against natural disasters that cause damage to your home.

A backup is an essential foundation for good photo management.

Until I know more about your photos and objectives, I am unable to provide an estimate. The length depends on the how many photos you have, whether they are digital or physical, how they are currently organized, and what your search requirements are.

Pros – Storing your photos in the cloud can have several benefits, such as:

  • Increased accessibility – you can access your photos from anywhere with an internet connection.
  • Automatic backups – your photos will be automatically backed up to the cloud, reducing the risk of losing them due to hardware failure or other issues.
  • Reduced risk of physical damage – your photos will be safe from physical damage, such as fire or water damage.

Cons – There are also some potential downsides to consider, such as:

  • Potential security risks, if the service you’re using doesn’t have strong security measures in place, your photos may be at risk of being hacked or stolen.
  • Cost of storage, depending on the service and the amount of storage you need, it can be expensive to store your photos in the cloud.
  • Need for internet connection, you need internet connection to access your photos from the cloud.

Overall, it depends on your personal preferences and needs. If you want to store your photos in the cloud, it’s important to consider the pros and cons and choose a reputable service with strong security measures in place.

It’s also worth noting that photo printing service can be impacted by changes in technology and user’s preferences. With the increasing popularity of digital photos and online photo sharing, some retailers and companies have closed down their photo printing services. So it’s always good to consider this when using a photo printing service.

There is a risk that online photo services may be discontinued, which could result in the loss of access to your photos. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as the company going out of business, changes in technology rendering the service obsolete, or a decision by the company to discontinue the service.

Examples of online photo services that have been discontinued include:

  • Google Photos: Google announced that Google Photos will no longer offer unlimited storage for high-quality photos and videos from June 2021.
  • Picasa: Google announced the discontinuation of the Picasa service and its support for the desktop app in 2016.
  • Yahoo Photos: Yahoo announced the discontinuation of its Yahoo Photos service in 2007.

It’s important to remember that when you entrust your photos to a third-party service, you’re relying on that company to continue to support and maintain the service.

If a service is discontinued, you may lose access to your photos or have to go through the process of transferring them to another service. To mitigate this risk, it’s a good idea to regularly download copies of your photos and keep them in multiple locations, such as your personal computer or an external hard drive.
